Google launched the Pixel 10 series last year, and rumour had it that we would see the Pixel 10a before the end of 2025. While that did not happen, several leaks give us a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming budget Pixel device.

Design

Leaked CAD renders of the Pixel 10a suggest that the upcoming device will have the same design as its predecessor. On the back, Google seems to be sticking to a flat plastic back and a small pill-shaped island that will most likely house a dual camera setup.

Unfortunately, the Pixel 10a may carry over the same thick bezels as last year. To give you a quick recap, Google’s Pixel A series phones historically have had thick bezels to differentiate them from the company’s premium offerings.

Display

Like last year, the Pixel 10a is said to feature the same 6.3-inch OLED panel as last year. Rumour also has it that Google will be sticking to the same LTPS technology, which means the screen won’t be able to go down to 1Hz.

Specs

Google usually packs in its latest Tensor chipset on Pixel A series devices, but this time, it may be going the Apple way. A report by Android Headlines hints that the Pixel 10a will be powered by the Tensor G4 chip, which made its debut on the Pixel 9 series instead of the newer Tensor G5 chipset.

One reason why Google may be sticking to the same SoC as last year is that the Tensor G5 chip, manufactured by TSMC, may be more expensive than its predecessor. However, the Tensor G4 chip on the Pixel 10a is said to get a slight speed boost. Due to the ongoing RAM and storage issues, the Pixel 10a is expected to sport 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Google is also reportedly packing in a 5,199mAh battery that may have the same charging speed as last year.

Pixel 10a launch date and price

According to a post on X by the known tipster @MysteryLupin, the Pixel 10a could launch on February 17. The base variant of the phone, which will have 128GB of storage, could be priced at around Rs 52,000. while the 256GB version may sell for approximately Rs 63,000. But since nothing is official at the moment, we recommend you to take this information with a grain of salt since things may change before the official announcement.
