Firing outside Rohit Shetty’s Mumbai residence, probe launched | Bollywood News

Unidentified persons opened fire outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in western suburbs of Mumbai’s Juhu, officials said on Sunday.
The incident took place in the early hours of the day following which security outside the building was intensified, an official said.
“Someone fired on the building. Zonal police and crime branch teams are investigating,” the official said.
It was not immediately known whether the filmmaker was at his residence during the incident, he added.

According to initial reports, four rounds were fired at the building by unidentified persons, the official said, adding that there were no report of injuries to anybody.
Rohit Shetty and his team are yet to issue an official statement on the shooting incident.

On the work front, Rohit Shetty last helmed Singham Again. Although the film underperformed at the box office, it drew attention for Arjun Kapoor’s much-discussed turn as the antagonist, Danger Lanka.
Looking ahead, Rohit Shetty has Golmaal 5 in the pipeline and is also reportedly set to helm a biopic on former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria, with John Abraham in the lead role. In multiple interviews, the filmmaker has additionally confirmed upcoming installments of Simmba and Sooryavanshi. However, the release timelines for these projects are yet to be announced.
