Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh today flagged off a prestigious joint mountaineering expedition to Mount Aconcagua in Argentina from South Block, New Delhi. Rising majestically at 6,961 metres, Mount Aconcagua stands as the highest peak in South America and the tallest mountain outside Asia, presenting one of the most demanding challenges for climbers worldwide. This landmark expedition brings together the expertise and spirit of two premier institutions , the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi and the Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering & Winter Sports, Pahalgam.
Extending his heartfelt best wishes, the Raksha Mantri emphasized that conquering such a formidable peak goes far beyond physical endurance, it is a true test of leadership, teamwork, discipline, and mental resilience.
