GOLD SCAM WAS SUPPORTED BY TOP GOVT OFFICIALS REVEALS EGYPTIAN An Egyptian National Michael Adel Michel Botros has disclosed that the gold scam case at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport was supported by high ranking government officials. In his Court documents filed before the Economic and Financial Crimes Court, Mr. Botros says the process was a well-orchestrated fraudulent scam which involved several public servants including airport personnel who facilitated the scammers and aided them to have access to restricted areas to fraudulently misrepresent him that the transaction was legitimate under legal authority of the relevant government departments. He says the level of deception and influence of the scammers can be demonstrated by the arrest of several Zambian Nationals which included President Hakainde Hichilema’s security detail Francis Mateyo. Further, the applicant has alleged that some of the money that he had on the aircraft was extorted from him by members of the joint team of investigators who threatened his life and threatened not to clear the aircraft to leave. In this matter, Mr. Botros is challenging the decision of the state to have his over 5.6 million dollars which he wanted to use in the gold transaction deal, fire arms among other properties for allegedly being proceeds of crime. – Diamond TV

Jochy Gómez revela vínculos de altos funcionarios en el caso Aurix y cuestiona el papel de Eylin Beltrán SANTO DOMINGO – En una declaración que ha sacudido el panorama político y judicial, el empresario Jochy Gómez ofreció detalles contundentes sobre las menciones de figuras clave del entorno presidencial en el expediente relativo a la empresa Aurix y su relación con el Estado. Durante su intervención ante los medios a la salida del tribunal, Gómez fue enfático al señalar que nombres como el de Eylin Beltrán, asistente del presidente de la República, y José Julio Chifino, han estado bajo un intento de “blindaje” mediático. Según el empresario, ha habido un esfuerzo deliberado por parte de sectores de la comunicación para omitir estos vínculos que ya constan en los registros judiciales. Cuestionamientos al entorno presidencialGómez expresó su preocupación por lo que considera una manipulación de la información.”Me preocupa que cada uno de estos nombres hoy hayan sido cortados por mi querido amigo Miguel Medina, quien está haciendo un buen trabajo hoy cortando en los medios de comunicación el nombre de Eylin Beltrán”, afirmó Gómez. El empresario sostuvo que la mención de Beltrán y de Martín Rivera Gabirondo, actual director de Aurix tras su entrega en octubre de 2023, no es un secreto, sino una realidad documentada en el tribunal que vincula directamente a la estructura de seguridad de la presidencia con el proceso en curso.Un “error” estratégico y apoyo a Luis Soto”De lo único que me lamento de este proceso es haber tomado otro bando: el bando de sacar a Luis Soto del DNI para poner a Martín Rivera. Ahí cometí un error; debí haber apoyado a Luis Soto, quien ha hecho un buen trabajo”, concluyó el empresario.Estas declaraciones añaden una nueva capa de complejidad al caso, sugiriendo tensiones internas y señalando directamente a la asistencia cercana del Poder Ejecutivo en una trama que continúa bajo el escrutinio público.
