LUSAKA BUSINESSMAN SHADRECK KASANDA RE-ARRESTED AFTER HIGH COUNTY DISCHARGE Lusaka businessman Shadreck Kasanda, who was discharged by the Lusaka High Court on aggravated robbery charges earlier yesterday, has been re-arrested by police. Kasanda, who has consistently protested his innocence, expressed frustration over what he described as a "chain and unbind" game with the police, suggesting that certain individuals are attempting to protect their reputations. Speaking as he was led to Police Force Headquarters for questioning last night, Kasanda questioned the basis of his re-arrest, emphasizing that he has never stolen from anyone. He highlighted that during his year-long detention, the complainant, who alleges being robbed of $5 million, failed to testify before Judge Chilombo Maka in what has been referred to as the "Gold Case."
